LRT3, officially known as the Shah Alam Line, is a medium-capacity, fully automated light rail transit line forming part of the Rapid KL network, aimed to enhance connectivity within the Klang Valley.

  • Route & Stations
    The line stretches 37.8 km with 25 operational stations (and 5 deferred ones to be added later), serving high-density zones from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia. (src: Yahoo News Malaysia BusinessToday)

  • Key Interchanges

    • Bandar Utama connects with the MRT Kajang Line.

  • Progress & Completion
    As of July 2025, the project is about 99% complete. Initial testing (trial run and fault-free run) is underway, to be followed by rapid run trials before full launch. (src: Malay Mail Autofreaks.com)

  • Projected Opening
    The line is expected to begin operations on 30 September 2025. However, there's a possibility of a slight delay, pushing the opening to 31 October 2025. (src: Carz Automedia Malaysia)

  • Updates & Station Additions
    Five initially shelved stations—Tropicana, Raja Muda, Temasya, Bukit Raja, and Bandar Botanik—are now scheduled to be completed between 2027 and 2028.
